About Jacques

Jacques Gaboury is Of Counsel with a background spanning private practice and in-house roles, including stints at the CBC, Goodman Phillips & Vineburg, Numeris, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, and Soloway Wright. He advises executive leadership and boards on governance, regulatory, privacy, and strategic matters, and has led enterprise-wide governance, risk, compliance, and privacy programs. His commercial work includes negotiating agreements that support strategic partnerships and revenue growth, along with software licensing, manufacturing, distribution, and global handset supply agreements. Jacques has served as lead counsel on major licensing, acquisition, divestiture, and sports broadcasting deals, and has overseen litigation matters and managed outside counsel on high-profile disputes. He holds an LLB from the University of Victoria, an MA from York University, and a BA from the University of Manitoba.
