About Jacqueline
Jacqueline M. Palef is a senior litigation associate at Branch MacMaster LLP's Toronto office, joined in November 2022, with a diverse plaintiff- and defence-side class actions and appeals practice spanning administrative, commercial, constitutional, cybersecurity/privacy, insurance, municipal, and product liability law. She is admitted to practise in Ontario, British Columbia, New York, and the District of Columbia, and has litigated before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the BC Court of Appeal. Jacqueline also advises healthcare professionals on professional misconduct and disciplinary matters and organizations on privacy breaches and cyber incidents. She is a co-editor of the textbook Class Actions in Canada, Vice Chair of the Ontario Bar Association's Class Action Section Executive, and Co-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Class Action Section Executive in British Columbia. Jacqueline holds JDs from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (Magna Cum Laude), both 2017, and a BA (Hons) from Queen's University (2014), and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2018.
