About Jacob

Jacob Vanderzwet studied Political Science at the University of Ottawa before obtaining a JD from Queen's University in Kingston and returning to a hometown of London to article at a full-service firm. Jacob Vanderzwet joined Scott Petrie LLP as an associate in June 2024, practising commercial litigation, construction litigation and professional negligence defence, and holds preferred counsel status with LawPRO. Before law school, Jacob Vanderzwet worked as an Intelligence Analyst at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission investigating fraud in Canada's telecommunications sector. While at Queen's, Jacob Vanderzwet took part in the National Labour Arbitration Competition and worked as a student caseworker at the Queen's Prison Law Clinic. Jacob Vanderzwet belongs to the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Middlesex Law Association and The Advocates' Society.
