About Angelo
Angelo D'Ascanio practises commercial dispute resolution, helping clients through court litigation, mediation, arbitration and mediation-arbitration on matters ranging from business contracts and corporate transactions to shareholder and partnership disputes, construction projects, real estate transactions and insolvency. Angelo D'Ascanio earned a B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1986, an LL.B. from Queen's University in 1989 and an LL.M. from Western University in 2010, and articled at Cohen Melnitzer before becoming a partner at Cohen Highley LLP and later Advocates LLP. Angelo D'Ascanio holds ADR Institute of Canada accredited mediation training and offers mediation services through the firm. Professional involvement includes membership in the Middlesex Law Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association, and a past role on the Construction Law Section executive of the Ontario Bar Association. Angelo D'Ascanio has mentored students through Western University's Faculty of Law, judged its moot court and negotiation competitions, and served on the boards of the London and Area Food Bank and Vanier Children's Services.
