David Swift's practice focuses on secured enforcement and other insolvency matters, including mortgage enforcement, as well as construction and other commercial litigation. David Swift acts for credit unions, banks and other lenders collecting loans from insolvent or underfunded clients, and assists creditors, debtors and receivers in restructuring situations. Suppliers and general contractors also turn to David Swift to resolve construction-related disputes, while business owners seek help with commercial litigation issues such as non-payment and breach of contract. David Swift has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has presented papers to clients and professional associations, including the Ontario Bar Association, on construction lien and insolvency topics. Outside the office, David Swift has served as a director of Make-A-Wish Southwestern Ontario and the London and District Construction Association.
