Jacob Hinton

About Jacob

Jacob Hinton is an associate at Torys LLP focusing on corporate law, with particular attention to infrastructure, energy, and resource projects, including matters involving Indigenous communities. Jacob belongs to the Little Shuswap Lake First Nation and brings that background, along with active involvement in his community's economic development and governance initiatives, to his work. While studying law, he took part as a clinician for the Law Students' Legal Advice Program, assisting with casework as a volunteer. More recently, Jacob has served as a mentor through the Law in Action Within Schools program.
