About Tanya

Tanya advises private companies, from start-ups to multinational corporations, on business law matters, with particular focus on mergers and acquisitions. Her practice also covers corporate governance, commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and related litigation, and she regularly acts for charities and not-for-profits on governance, by-law, and board dispute questions. She holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, a master's in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and an Honours B.A. in History and Political Science from McMaster University. She was called to the bar in 2019. Before entering private practice, she worked at Toronto City Hall, the Ontario Legislature, and the House of Commons, giving her firsthand knowledge of government that she applies for private sector clients. She's published in the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and other academic journals, and serves as a practicum mentor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law.
