About Jacob

Jacob is a lawyer in MT+Co.'s Indigenous Law Group and a proud member of Sts'ailes, the first from his community to become a lawyer. He serves as President of the Native Courtworker and Counselling Association of British Columbia, advocating for justice services for Indigenous people in contact with the criminal justice system. He was called to the BC bar in 2025 and holds a JD in Indigenous Legal Studies from UBC. He received the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award in 2023 and the Indspire Building Brighter Futures Award in 2021.
