About Yang
Yang Zongmo is the founder of JM Law Corporation. He grew up in Suzhou, China, then moved to Chile, where he became fluent in Spanish, before immigrating to Canada. He completed a dual degree in Computer Science and Statistics at the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction, and later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law. After passing the bar, he became one of the youngest lawyers in Canada. He has appeared in court close to 100 times, handling civil, family, business, lending, tenancy, and estate disputes before BC's Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal, including Residential Tenancy Branch hearings and related judicial reviews. His non-litigation work includes property transfers, prenuptial and cohabitation agreements, company incorporation, notarizations, wills, and powers of attorney. He describes himself as a fourth-generation Chinese-Canadian lawyer.
