About Tristan
Tristan McLeod is a senior associate at Torys whose commercial law practice covers transit and energy project work, commercial real estate, and corporate finance matters. He regularly represents private equity funds, publicly traded REITs, pension plans, developers and asset managers on complex joint ventures and portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. Tristan has considerable experience advising government authorities on transit infrastructure built alongside transit-oriented developments that combine multiple uses, and he represents both lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured financing arrangements. Before joining Torys, he interned with Global Affairs Canada's Trade Law Bureau in Ottawa, working on trade remedies matters. He volunteers as a mentor with the Law in Action Within Schools program and has also supported Suits His Style, an Ottawa charity that helps men access professional attire for employment.
