About Mona

Mona Brown has practiced law in Manitoba since earning her law degree from the University of Manitoba in 1978. Based in Carman for nearly 40 years, she focuses on farm and small-business succession planning, cottage and vacation-property succession, wills and estates, and international taxation for foreign landowners. She holds a Chartered Arbitrator certificate (1996) and a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation (2013), appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada in 2004 for the Canadian Canola Growers Association, and is a founding member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors. She has more recently expanded into mediation and Indigenous law.
