About J.
J. Peter Vice, K.C. was born and raised in the Ottawa Valley and was called to the bar in 1969 after earning his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa. He co-founded Vice & Hunter LLP in 1975 with William Hunter and now heads the firm's Municipal and Planning Law team, drawing on decades of experience representing developers, municipalities, and individual clients in municipal and planning matters. He has extensive experience appearing before the Ontario Municipal Board and various municipal councils, and has made submissions to Planning Advisory Committees and Committees of Adjustment on zoning, development approvals, and municipal compliance. He is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada, and the County of Carleton Law Association, and is recognized within the firm for mentoring junior lawyers and staff in municipal and planning law.
