David Cohen is the national leader of Gowling WLG's Financial Institutions & Services Group in Canada and coordinates the firm's national Distressed M&A practice. He advises on corporate and commercial financing, restructuring and insolvency law in domestic and cross-border contexts. Recognized for seven years in Chambers Global and Chambers Canada for Restructuring/Insolvency, he has managed restructurings of large manufacturers, retail chains, mining operations, and oil and gas producers. He is a past global chair and president of the Turnaround Management Association.
