Lalonde is a Partner at Vice & Hunter LLP and a seasoned litigator practicing civil litigation, employment law, commercial and corporate disputes, and municipal law. Fluently bilingual in English and French, he represents clients across Ontario in both official languages. Between June 2021 and December 2025 he won ten consecutive appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Divisional Court, including three cases in which he persuaded the appellate court to overturn a lower court decision. His corporate litigation work includes shareholder disputes, oppression remedies, derivative actions, and restructuring and insolvency matters, and he also represents municipalities in litigation involving major capital projects such as wastewater treatment systems and bridges. In employment law he advises both employers and employees on wrongful dismissal, severance, employment standards, disability management, and human rights matters. Lalonde earned his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law in 2004 after an undergraduate degree in political science from the same institution, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2005. He has taught employment law at La Cité Collégiale for more than seven years and has served as an elected director and vice-president of an Ottawa condominium board since 2009.
