About Cheryl
Cheryl Letourneau is a Senior Associate at Vice & Hunter LLP with a civil litigation practice focused on estate law, insurance law, disability claims, and defamation, along with employment law work representing both employers and employees in wrongful dismissal and human rights matters. She regularly appears before administrative tribunals including the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, the Special Education Tribunal, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, as well as before courts from the Ontario Court of Justice through the Court of Appeal. She earned her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Carleton University in 1998, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2004. After articling as a law clerk with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, she worked at a boutique firm specializing in professional negligence and now teaches trial advocacy at the University of Ottawa law school. She joined Vice & Hunter LLP in 2018, where her practice centres on estate litigation, insurance disputes, defamation, professional negligence, and employment matters.
