About J.D.

J.D. Sharp is a partner at Emond Harnden whose practice is devoted to supporting employers in managing the human resources side of their organizations. After graduating university, he worked as a labour relations consultant, assisting employers with labour relations and human resources issues before completing law school. He provides strategic advice, representation, and counsel on labour, employment, human rights, and health and safety matters, with a primary focus on advocacy for employers through litigation, negotiation, and mediation. He has litigated numerous cases to conclusion before labour arbitrators across Ontario. He graduated from Queen's University with a BA (Hons) and from the Faculty of Law at the University of Calgary in 1996, and is admitted to the bars of Alberta and Ontario.
