About Ivo

Ivo Martinich is an Associate at Crawford Munroe Thomson LLP practising labour and employment law, handling workplace matters such as terminations, suspensions, performance management, and accommodation. Martinich previously articled and worked in the commercial litigation group of a national firm, practised at a boutique workplace-law firm, and served as in-house litigation counsel for a Crown corporation, and appears before the BC Supreme Court, Provincial Court, and tribunals including the Labour Relations Board, Employment Standards Branch, Residential Tenancy Branch, and property assessment bodies. Martinich earned a BA (Hons) in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in 2013 and a J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2018, including exchange semesters at McGill University and Sciences Po in Paris. Martinich was called to the British Columbia bar in 2019, has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association's BC Branch since 2019, and belonged to the French-speaking Legal Professionals Association of British Columbia from 2016 to 2022. Martinich is fluent in Spanish and French.
