Dean A. Crawford, K.C. is a Partner at Crawford Munroe Thomson LLP focusing on employment litigation, employee competition disputes, employment mediation, and labour relations, and is recognized as a leading Canadian authority on employee-competition litigation, having litigated disputes across multiple provinces and cross-border Canada-US matters. Crawford represents both employers and employees, including unionized employers in grievance disputes and collective bargaining before the Labour Relations Board of British Columbia, and regularly advises on executive employment agreements, including for large healthcare professional organizations. Crawford earned a BA (Honours) from the University of British Columbia in 1991 and an LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 1994, later teaching employment law at UVic's law school. Crawford was appointed King's Counsel in 2014, has been listed as 'Most Frequently Recommended' for Employment in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory, and has been recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Labour and Employment Law since 2020 and in Chambers Canada in 2022.
