About Irving
Irving Marks is the senior partner of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, called to the Ontario bar in 1980. He has extensive experience in business litigation, having represented clients in disputes over real estate and condominiums, commercial transactions, corporate law, taxation, estates and trusts, and class actions, and other law and accounting firms regularly refer clients to him. His clients include large public and private corporations, developers, financial institutions and lenders, entrepreneurs, and individuals. Irving has conducted numerous trials, appeals, arbitrations, and mediations, including several reported and precedent-setting cases, and also works as a mediator and arbitrator, using his background as a litigator to help parties reach fair and practical resolutions. He draws on colleagues in the firm's Business and Transactions, Commercial Real Estate, and Tax groups to structure complex settlements such as corporate restructurings and the division of estates. Irving holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
