About Ifeoma

Ifeoma Okoye is a partner at Ackroyd LLP. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003 and worked as a lawyer in Lagos, Nigeria, gaining banking, corporate, and commercial experience before moving to Canada, earning an LLM from the University of Alberta in 2007, and later practising at an Alberta financial institution. She articled with Ackroyd LLP and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2013. Her current work focuses on regulatory and environmental matters, representing landowners regarding oil, gas, mining, and utility developments before the Alberta Utilities Commission, Alberta Energy Regulator, Surface Rights Board, and Environmental Appeals Board. She also advises First Nation and Metis governments on investment initiatives, partnership arrangements, and corporate reorganizations, and volunteers with Pro Bono Law Alberta.
