About Anna

Anna Maria's practice focuses on labour law, employment law, administrative law and human rights law, and she regularly appears before various levels of court in Alberta and before administrative tribunals including labour arbitration boards, Labour Relations Boards and the Human Rights Commission. She advises on labour relations and collective bargaining issues, employment standards, wrongful dismissal, human rights and privacy law matters for a broad cross-section of management-side clients, including governments, public agencies, health care employers and educational institutions. Anna Maria earned an LL.B. from the University of Alberta in 1988 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1989. She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and a past co-chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Northern Alberta Labour/Employment Law Section, and has been recognized as a leading lawyer for labour and employment law by Best Lawyers in Canada.
