About Ian
Ian Whitaker specializes in civil litigation, particularly high-risk insurance defence claims, and has conducted judge-alone and jury trials with experience in plaintiff personal injury work, estate litigation, matrimonial matters, commercial disputes, and employment law. He has appeared before British Columbia's Supreme and Provincial Courts and the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal. A lifelong Lower Mainland resident who grew up in Richmond, he now lives in Tsawwassen. He holds a J.D. from the University of Victoria (2009) and a B.A. from the University of British Columbia (2006), and was called to the bar in 2010. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
