About Huw
Huw Evans is a partner at Torys focusing on infrastructure and energy law. He has more than a decade of experience working with institutional investors on complex transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors, both in Canada and internationally. Huw advises clients across the full lifecycle of major projects, from early development and financing to joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. His work spans a range of power generation and renewable technologies, from solar, wind and hydroelectric to biomass, biogas, geothermal, hydrogen and natural gas, along with electricity transmission, distribution and storage. He also advises on major infrastructure acquisitions and divestitures involving transportation assets such as railways and airports, as well as hospitals and data centres. Huw co-chairs Torys' Student Committee and serves as a director of Canadian Stage and the Oak Ridges Trail Association.
