About Harmony
Harmony Huffman specializes in supporting Indigenous governments with self-governance, with practice areas including governance support, First Nation constitutions, laws and policy, taxation and fiscal management, land codes, land interests, contaminated sites, and housing. Before joining Woodward & Company in 2025, she spent 13 years working in local government at the regional level, developing expertise in policy development, environmental administration, and strategic planning. She holds a Juris Doctor (co-op) from the University of Victoria, including field schools on revitalizing Indigenous legal orders, a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from the University of Northern British Columbia, and a certificate in applied project management from Camosun College, and is pursuing a master's in public administration. Originally from Lheidli T'enneh and Nak'azdli Whuten traditional territories and now working on unceded Quw'utsun lands, she received the Law Foundation of BC Public Interest Award (2023) and the Grant Anderson Commemorative Scholarship (2018), and was called to the Law Society of British Columbia in 2025.
