About Hapin
Hapin was born and raised in China and is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. Before attending law school at the University of Victoria, she received a Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. While at law school she provided legal advice and services to clients and worked as a student researcher for the BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association. Following her articles at a criminal law firm specializing in driving cases, she set up her own practice defending clients facing criminal and driving charges, gaining experience with sexual offences, violent offences, property crimes and driving matters. She joined Filkow Law in January 2025 as a barrister in the firm's criminal and driving litigation practices.
