About Irene

Irene Pietrow is the principal of Pietrow Law Group, a boutique family law firm in downtown Vancouver that she founded in 2008. She has been providing family law advice since 1985, and is an experienced litigator who has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia. Irene has assisted many clients in reaching negotiated or mediated settlements and has a strong appreciation for pursuing resolution where possible. Before founding the firm, she was a partner and member of the management committee at a mid-sized Greater Vancouver firm. She has taught legal seminars for organizations including the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, the People's Law School, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and has served as Chair of the Family Law Subsection of the New Westminster Branch of the Canadian Bar Association and as an Executive Member at Large of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce in 1983 and her Bachelor of Laws in 1984, both from the University of British Columbia, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 1985.
