About Geraldine

Geraldine Hewitt is a lawyer in the Business Law Department at O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP. A Jamaican-Canadian, she was called to the Jamaican Bar in 2008 after a stint in a brokerage supervisory role, and practiced at a firm serving financial institutions and securities clients on regulatory and compliance matters. After relocating to Canada, she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014 and practiced corporate and commercial law at a Halton firm, focusing on commercial leases, mergers and acquisitions, and tax-driven restructuring. At OMH, she continues that practice, supporting clients with business incorporations, secured financing, and shareholder matters in addition to M&A and leasing work. Geraldine holds a law degree from the University of London and a business degree with a major in finance.
