About Evelyn

Evelyn Perez Youssoufian is a partner at OMH LLP with more than 20 years of varied legal experience. Her practice covers civil and commercial, estate, municipal and real estate litigation, along with shareholder, partnership and contract disputes, defamation, malicious prosecution and the enforcement of foreign judgments. She also practices employment law for both employers and employees, handling wrongful and constructive dismissal, severance, human rights complaints, workplace harassment and employment contract disputes. Evelyn has made submissions at the Supreme Court of Canada and has appeared before the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Superior Court of Justice, the Provincial Court of Justice, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ministry of Labour. She has authored or co-authored more than a dozen publications and articles, including chapters for Juris Publishing and a contribution to a LexisNexis Canada book on litigating and arbitrating business disputes. Before joining O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP, she articled in Ottawa and worked as an associate at three boutique firms focused on criminal, litigation and employment law. Evelyn earned her LL.B. from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law simultaneously in 2004, along with an honours B.A. from York University in 2001. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and is fluent in Spanish and Armenian, with conversational French.
