About Colleen

Colleen Peffers is the principal lawyer at PeffersLaw in Milton, where she practices wills and estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Waterloo and worked as a management accountant and regional controller before pursuing law at Osgoode Hall, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2011. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2012 and opened her own practice shortly after. Her accounting background lets her offer clients strategies for reducing potential tax burdens when planning wills and powers of attorney. Colleen often meets clients in their homes, aiming to put them at ease when discussing sensitive legal matters. She has been invited to speak at the Law Society of Ontario's Solo and Small Firm Conference and at a Canadian Bar Association mid-winter session in New Brunswick.
