About James
James McAskill is managing partner at O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP and a certified specialist in real estate law. He handles land assemblies, subdivision registrations, hydro easements, and property purchases and financing, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2003 after graduating from law school at the University of Saskatchewan in 2001. He earlier completed an Honours B.A. at the University of Western Ontario. Outside the firm, James has been active with the United Way, serving on the board of United Way of Milton from 2012 to 2017 and chairing it from 2014 to 2017, and he helped lead its 2017 amalgamation into United Way Halton & Hamilton, chairing that board from 2019 to 2023 and remaining on it as past chair.
