About Genna

Genna Wood advises and represents clients across the tax dispute process, from audits and objections onward to eventual appeals heard by the Tax Court of Canada and judicial review filed with the Federal Court, and she also helps clients with voluntary disclosures and taxpayer relief requests. Before joining Thorsteinssons, she spent more than ten years handling corporate and commercial litigation work at Stikeman Elliott LLP, appearing at both trial and appellate levels in Ontario, before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and in private arbitration proceedings. While studying law, Wood rowed for Western's varsity team, which captured multiple national and provincial titles as well as regatta wins in Boston and England. She has been named to Best Lawyers for commercial litigation since 2022 and sits on the OBA's Taxation Law Section Executive, in addition to publishing articles and speaking at professional development events.
