About Gary

Gary Stern was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1987 and has practised family law exclusively ever since, with a focus on negotiating and drafting domestic contracts such as marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements and separation agreements. He takes a hands-on approach aimed at easing the stress of the process for clients. Stern has completed extensive training in mediation, arbitration and domestic violence mediation through the University of Waterloo's Conrad Grebel University College and other programs, and has served as a Dispute Resolution Officer in the Oshawa Family Court since 2011. He has also taught the Bar Admission Course's Family Law section and previously served as a panel lawyer for the Office of the Children's Lawyer.
