Lex Arbesman is a partner at NULaw, where his practice focuses on family law, estate litigation, and estate administration. He earned an honours double major in history and law from York University before attending Dalhousie Law School (now the Schulich School of Law) in Halifax, where he received the Milton and Carole Ehrlich Prize in 2003 and volunteered at the Halifax Family Law Legal Aid Clinic. After being called to the Ontario bar, he worked at Flemingdon Community Legal Services providing immigration, landlord-tenant, and poverty law services, then joined Redway and Butler LLP in 2007. He took over leadership of the firm in 2010 following the retirement of Alan Redway and Peter Butler, rebranding the practice as NULaw. Best Lawyers in Canada has recognized him for his work in Trusts and Estates in Toronto since 2025. He has appeared before the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Human Rights Tribunal, Small Claims Court, the Superior Court, the Federal Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
