About Garth

Garth Dingwall is a Founding Partner at R&D LLP, where he leads the firm's Litigation Group, with a broad practice in commercial and civil litigation as well as corporate commercial matters. He has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and the Court of Appeal, in matters spanning contract and real property disputes, construction liens, creditor-debtor claims, franchise disputes, and cross-border enforcement of judgments. Before co-founding R&D LLP, he was a partner at its predecessor firm, having previously run his own practice and worked at a mid-sized full-service Toronto firm. He earned his Juris Doctor from Queen's University, graduating on the Dean's List, and his Bachelor of Arts with Highest Honours from Carleton University, where he studied law, philosophy, and psychology. He is a member of the Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
