About Brendan

Brendan Clancy is Counsel in R&D LLP's Litigation Group, practising across a broad range of commercial disputes involving contracts, real property, leases, and construction. He previously served as in-house counsel at a Fortune 500 company across multiple jurisdictions and has experience as a mediator and as an adjunct law school professor teaching alternative dispute resolution. Before his legal career, he served as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, including as a peacekeeper in the former Yugoslavia and a deployment to South-West Asia, where he earned a commendation from Canada's Chief of Defence Staff. He earned his law degree from the University of Ottawa, graduating Magna Cum Laude among the top ten students in his class, and holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering with First Class Honours from the Royal Military College of Canada. He is a member of the Advocates' Society, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
