About Chris

Chris has been an associate lawyer at Neuman Thompson since being called to the Alberta Bar in 2018, practicing in all areas of labour and employment law including collective bargaining, certification drives, human rights complaints, wrongful dismissal claims, privacy law and labour arbitration. He has represented employers across the public and private sectors, including post-secondary institutions, municipalities, heavy equipment companies, health care operators, long term care facilities and manufacturing companies, and has appeared at all levels of court in Alberta as well as before the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, the Alberta Information and Privacy Commissioner and the Alberta Labour Relations Board. Chris earned a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in finance, and graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 2017, where he was president of a faculty recreational hockey team and represented the University of Alberta at the 2016 Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada. He is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers.
