Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionGrant advises private and public sector employers on workplace issues including performance and discipline management, terminations, wrongful dismissal litigation, labour relations, and workplace human rights. He is the former firm-wide Practice Group Leader for Labour & Employment and was appointed to the Advisory Committee of Queen's University Faculty of Law's Centre for Law in the Contemporary Workplace in 2018. His experience includes negotiating collective agreements, defending discrimination and constructive dismissal claims, and advising boards of private and publicly traded companies, universities, and crown corporations on governance. Grant earned his LLB from the University of New Brunswick in 1990 and a BComm from Dalhousie University in 1986, along with an ICD Designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2020. He was called to the bar in Nova Scotia in 1991, Ontario in 1993, and New Brunswick in 1997. He has served on Stewart McKelvey's Partnership Board since 2020 and chairs the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
