About Roy

Roy is a member of the firm's Indigenous Peoples practice group, with a practice focused exclusively on working with Indigenous clients, including not-for-profit organizations, communities, governments and individuals across Mi'gma'gi. He attended St. Thomas University for his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Native/Indigenous Studies, and has appeared before all levels of court in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and at national commissions of inquiry, including the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Roy has served as chair and vice-chair of the CBA-Nova Scotia Aboriginal Law Section and has been a part-time faculty member at the Schulich School of Law since 2020, where he co-coaches the Kawaskimhon Moot team.
