About Frank

Frank is a partner at TDS in Winnipeg whose practice has focused on corporate and commercial law, tax, tax dispute resolution, corporate governance, and wills, estates, and trust law throughout his career. He received the King's Counsel designation from the Manitoba government in 2023 and was named a Jurist of Robson Hall in 2022 for his service to the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law. Frank has taught taxation law for the Law Society of Manitoba, the University of Manitoba, the Asper School of Business, and other organizations, and currently serves as course head for the law school's corporate tax course. He was named Best Lawyers' Tax Lawyer of the Year in Winnipeg in 2012, 2016, and 2018, and received the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law's Outstanding Alumni Award in 2026. He earned his LL.B. and B. Comm. (Hons.) from the University of Manitoba and was called to the Manitoba bar in 1980. His services are provided through F. Lavitt Law Corporation.
