About Frank

Frank Abramonte co-chairs the firm's patent prosecution practice. He builds and manages patent portfolios for clients in electrical engineering, software, and electro-mechanical systems, along with medical device technology. He also handles licensing work, diligence reviews, and opinions on patent validity and infringement for clients ranging from public companies to early-stage startups. Before becoming a patent attorney, Frank spent four years working as an engineer, developing CAD/CAM and database applications for fields such as propulsion and fluid mechanics. He earned his undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Colorado and his law degree from the University of Oregon.
