Andrew Baer chairs Cozen O'Connor's Technology, Privacy & Data Security practice, which he founded, having been one of the earliest attorneys nationally to launch a stand-alone technology practice. He advises clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, including financial institutions, SaaS providers, adtech companies, data brokers, and AI and crypto developers, on technology transactions and privacy and cybersecurity compliance. Andrew previously spent a decade leading Baer Crossey McDemus, a boutique firm he co-founded focused on technology and venture capital work, and earlier served as lead technology and IP counsel at Advanta Corp. He is a lecturer at The Wharton School and a faculty member with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Andrew earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
