About Dino
Dino Clarizio has practiced exclusively in intellectual property law for thirty-five years, handling all aspects of IP litigation with an emphasis on patent disputes in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors. He has represented clients ranging from individual inventors to Fortune 500 companies in cases addressing claim construction, infringement, and validity issues, along with trademark disputes involving confusion and goodwill. Dino is a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States and a registered trademark agent in Canada, and topped the Canadian patent agent qualifying exams in 1993. He co-authored two leading textbooks on Canadian patent law, including Hughes & Woodley on Patents, which has been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal. He is also active with the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, where he presents at conferences and sits on several committees.
