About Fanny

Fanny Cumplido is a co-founder and senior lawyer at Nexus, practising immigration law with particular attention to free trade agreements between Canada and other countries, including Colombia. She advises Canadian companies on recruiting foreign workers and on the international mobility of their workforce, prepares work and study permit applications, and represents clients before the Federal Court and in immigration appeal proceedings. She also represents individuals seeking protection in Canada, including asylum and refugee claims, drawing on experience with cases from Latin America. She holds law diplomas from the Université du Québec à Montréal and the University of Cartagena in Colombia, and is a member of the Barreau du Québec and the Barreau de Colombie. She works in French and Spanish.
