About Alfredo

Garcia is a founding partner of Semperlex. He holds two law degrees, from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico (1997) and the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Civil Law (2012), both with honors, and has more than 28 years of experience practising in both the public and private sectors in several countries. He has practised at Semperlex since 2017, specializing in Canadian immigration and refugee law as well as international trade law. He is active supporting vulnerable clients, working with organizations that advocate for women's rights and the LGBTIQ+ community, and is a frequent media commentator on immigration issues. He is a member of the AQAADI, ACAAR, and APAAQ, and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2013. In 2025 he received the HOMMES QUI CHANGENT award in the Ally category.
