About Miguel

Miguel Eduardo Vargas Monroy practises across civil and commercial law, with experience in environmental law, energy, international compliance, patent and trademark portfolio management, and drafting distribution agreements, confidentiality agreements and commercial agency arrangements. He is licensed to practise in Quebec and Canada generally, and in Colombia, where he earned his LL.B. He also holds an LL.M. in international business law from the Université de Montréal and completed the Barreau du Québec's professional training program in 2020. He has worked in both public- and private-sector international organizations, including an internship with DESA and OLA at UN headquarters in New York. He volunteers with a program supporting education for children in rural Colombia and sits on the board of a Côte-des-Neiges housing cooperative.
