About Jing

Jing Yi Xu has worked as a lawyer at Nexus since completing her legal internship at the firm in 2019, practising immigration and family law. Her immigration work includes asylum claims and hearings before the Refugee Protection Division, appeals before the Refugee Appeal Division, judicial reviews before the Federal Court, and permanent residence and citizenship applications, including on humanitarian and compassionate grounds. She holds a Bachelor of Law from the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Barreau du Québec. She works in English, French and Chinese.
