About Alexis

Alexis Dumont joined Nexus in July 2021 as a Bar intern under the supervision of Fanny Cumplido and has worked as a lawyer at the firm since January 2022, focusing on a broad range of immigration applications, including economic and family-reunification cases and asylum claims. He studied administration in France and Quebec before turning to law, motivated by a wish to help people settle in Canada. During law school he volunteered with the Clinique Juridique Itinérante, which serves the homeless population, and worked on a file with Projet Innocence Québec. He holds a law diploma from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a certificate in immigration and interethnic relations from the same university, and is a member of the Barreau du Québec. He works in English and French.
