About Evan

Evan Podaima practises construction and commercial litigation, including defamation matters. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Winnipeg in 2017 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2021, and was called to the Manitoba bar the same year. As a student he competed as an oralist in the Davies Corporate Securities Moot and as a researcher for the Fox Intellectual Property Moot, and completed the Manitoba Court of King's Bench Clerkship program. He co-authored an article on the use of police officers as expert witnesses in criminal trials, published in the Manitoba Law Journal, and received several academic honours during law school, including the Teranet Manitoba Anderson Student Prize for Excellence in Real Property.
