About Edmundo

Edmundo Guevara is a partner in the Insurance, Construction and Infrastructure, and Commercial Litigation groups at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP, focusing on insurance defence, construction disputes, commercial matters and personal injury claims. Before immigrating to Canada, he practised extensively in the Philippines in tax, commercial and business law, serving as a Deputy Commissioner of the country's tax agency responsible for prosecuting civil and criminal tax cases. He later consulted for the Asian Development Bank and USAID on strengthening the Philippine government's ability to pursue tax fraud and evasion cases. Edmundo holds a Master of Laws with distinction from the University of London and law degrees from the University of the Philippines, and he was called to the Philippine bar in 1988 and the British Columbia bar in 2012.
