About Edmond
Edmond O'Neill is a partner at Liberty Law whose practice is restricted to defending drug and Criminal Code charges, along with representing professionals in disciplinary proceedings before their governing bodies. Called to the Alberta bar in 1989, he has more than three decades of trial experience and has defended clients charged with murder, sexual assault, assault, impaired driving, and fraud. He is a former president of the Criminal Trial Lawyers' Association and teaches Criminal Trial Procedure at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Law. O'Neill has appeared before the House of Commons Justice Committee on impaired driving law and regularly lectures for organizations including the Canadian Bar Association and the Legal Education Society of Alberta. He also provides pro bono legal services and takes on Legal Aid cases in select matters.
